A pendulum ride for sale from JHRides starts at US$8,500 EXW for the 6-seat mini model and runs to about US$95,000 for the 25-seat giant with a 110° swing. The ride is delivered in 30–45 days, and the 6-seat version ships complete inside one 20ft container. Everything else on this page — footprints, power loads, swing diameters and current factory prices — comes from our own export price list, not from a broker’s catalog.

A pendulum ride is one of the few amusement rides that works for both family parks and thrill-seekers: the same machine can be ordered as a 6-seat kids’ swing or as a 25-seat giant that inverts past 90°. That flexibility is exactly why buyers get confused about price. Two “23-seat pendulums” can differ by US$50,000 depending on which end of the arm carries the motor.

As a manufacturer based in Kaifeng, Henan, we have produced pendulum rides, flying turntables and pirate ships for operators in more than 40 countries. This guide breaks down the five standard models, the real price drivers, and the site checks you should finish before you pay a deposit.

How Much Does a Pendulum Ride Cost in 2026?

What actually moves the price

  • Seat count and arm size. Going from 6 to 23 seats multiplies steel weight and drive power, and the price scales with it — roughly 5×.
  • Drive position. The 25-seat upper-drive giant needs an 80 kW system (60 kW swing motor) versus 23 kW on the lower-drive 23-seat. That is the single biggest jump in the list.
  • Swing angle. 35° is a family ride; 43° is a solid thrill ride; 100–110° inverts riders and requires a taller, heavier frame.
  • Finish and lighting. Custom theme colors and full LED packages are quoted on top of the base price.
  • Freight, if you want CIF. We quote it separately because it depends on your port — see how it lands in a real number in our CIF cost breakdown for a 24-seat pirate ship.

Which of the Five Models Fits Your Park?

The range splits into two families. Mini pendulums (6, 8 and 12 seats) swing inside 35° and are built for family traffic. Giant pendulums (23 and 25 seats) are the signature ride of a park — the 25-seat version lifts riders to a running height of 14.9–16.5 m and sweeps a 20.56 m circle.

If you are still comparing ride types for the same corner of your park, it is worth pricing a flying turntable alongside the pendulum — similar footprint, different motion, and often a better fit for indoor malls.

Site, Power and Container Requirements

Four numbers decide whether a model fits your site. Get them before you ask for a quote — it saves a week of back-and-forth.

  1. Clearance, not just footprint The arm sweeps a circle larger than the base: 13.2 m on the 23-seat, 20.56 m on the 25-seat. Add a safety fence outside that circle and keep the walking route clear.
  2. Power supply All models run on 380 V three-phase. Mini models draw 5–17 kW; the 25-seat giant needs 80 kW connected load, with a 60 kW swing motor.
  3. Foundation Concrete foundation drawings ship with every order. Anchor positions must match the drawing — a pendulum transfers dynamic load into the base, so this is not a job for a guess.
  4. Shipping and site access The 6-seat mini travels complete in one 20ft container (22 m³, ~4 t). Larger models arrive disassembled and marked part by part; check that a truck can reach your install area before you book freight.

Five Checks Before You Pay a Deposit

  1. Match the price to a model, not a category Ask for the quote to name seats, swing angle and drive position. “Pendulum ride, 23 seats” is not a specification — it is two different machines.
  2. Confirm what is included in EXW Structure, gondola, restraints, control cabinet and standard LED lighting should be in. Theme paint, fence and foundation works are normally separate.
  3. Ask for the spare-parts list Restraint springs, sensors and control relays are the parts you will need in year two. Get them priced in the same PI so you are not paying air freight later.
  4. Check the loading plan For a 6-seat mini, one 20ft container. For a 23- or 25-seat giant, ask how many containers and whether the loading plan is included — that number drives your freight budget.
  5. Get the delivery date in writing Standard production runs 30–45 days depending on the model and finish. Peak season (October to December) is busier — lock the date into the contract.
Installing abroad? We ship bilingual operation and maintenance manuals with every ride, and offer remote video guidance during first assembly. Engineer-on-site service is available on request — mention it when you ask for the quote so it can be priced into the same document.

Buyer FAQ

What is the difference between upper-drive and lower-drive pendulums?

Upper-drive carries the swing motor on the rotating arm — that is how the 25-seat model reaches 110° per side and 16.9 m/s. Lower-drive keeps the drive at the base: 23 kW instead of 80 kW, simpler maintenance and roughly half the price. Pick by the thrill level you are selling, not by price alone.

Is a 35° swing big enough for a commercial ride?

Yes. With an 8 × 8 m arm and gondola rotation on top of the swing, a 12-seat mini pendulum is a solid family ride — the segment that pays daily in malls, zoos and resorts rather than on peak weekends only.

Can I get the ride in my park’s theme colours?

Yes. Seat shells, gondola and frame can be painted to a supplied colour code, and LED packages are quoted with the ride. Send photos of your park’s existing rides and we will match the palette.

Do you supply the fence and rubber surface?

We supply the safety fence as an option and provide the layout drawing showing where it goes. Rubber surfacing is normally sourced locally to save freight — we will specify the required area.

How do payments work?

Standard terms are 30–40% deposit with the order and the balance before shipment, against photos and video of the finished ride. Payment is by bank transfer; the PI lists the exact account details.

How to Get a Formal Quote in One Day

Send three things and we can reply with a matching model, a formal PI and a freight plan — usually within one working day:

  • Your site dimensions, including the space available for the safety fence
  • Target capacity (riders per hour) or the seat count you have in mind
  • Destination port, if you want us to quote CIF
